Welcome to Portage Collaborative Montessori School! PCMS is a public alternative school serving over 200 students from the six districts in the Stark County Comprehensive Collaborative (Canton City, Lake Local, North Canton City, Plain Local, Jackson Local, and Canton Local). All of our classes are for mixed age groups. We have pre-school/kindergarten classes for 3, 4, and 5 year-old children. Lower Elementary classes have first, second, and third grade students. Upper Elementary classes have fourth, fifth, and sixth graders, and our Middle School class is for seventh and eighth graders. Although there is a tuition charge for pre-schoolers, students in kindergarten through eighth grade attend free, as in any other public school.
