Chess Team News

Congratulations to PCMS's first chess team! They successfully finished out the tournament season on March 15th at West Branch Middle School. Close to 200 students from 14 schools attended the tournament. The competition was tough! Team members were Brandon Beyman, Ryan Benzing, Jesse Devine, John Destefano, Laura Benzing, Logan Neidert, Gabriel Russ, Cayhil Grubbs, and Abby Lyall. We missed Riniah Foor who was home sick.

Winning trophies were:
Ryan - 3rd Place Elementary Reserve (Individual)
Jesse - 4th Place Elementary Reserve (Individual)
Laura - 6th Place Elementary Championship (Individual)
Jess and Ryan - 2nd Place Elementary Reserve (Team)
Cayhil, Logan and Gabriel - 3rd Place Middle School (Team)
